Sue Lawson trained as a primary school teacher before pursuing her ambitions to work in the media. Sue had always written journals, diaries and creative work but found journalism to be her outlet. She spent ten years in radio, her career peaking as the ABC's first woman breakfast announcer in regional Australia, broadcasting across western Victoria from 3WV in Horsham. 2003 has seen the publication of Sue's first picture book, My Gran's Different, and her second YA novel, Ferret Boy.
